If you live or work in the City of Hamilton or Butler County Ohio area, and have ever thought that becoming a Freemason might be something for you, why not consider joining Hugh L. Bates Lodge? We are a young, vibrant, growing lodge within the city of Hamilton that has embraced innovation in all forms of communication.
Men From all walks of life think of becoming a Freemason for a variety of reasons. Some are attracted by the generous charitable works of charity preformed by the Brethren. These would include the Shriners Hospitals, Children's dyslexia centers, Diabetic children's camps, and Special Olympics just to name a few. Some a looking to delve into the Philosophical and Esoteric studies of the Fraternity and Life. Others just join to be around like minded individuals who want to become better men for themselves, their family, and their community, and usually in the process wind up forming life long friendships.
So what are the cost of becoming a Freemason?
Freemasonry is not a rich man's hobby, but an affordable and rewarding pastime for the many men that go through the degrees.
There is an initial initiation Fee of $200
This covers the cost of all three degrees as well as certain items that you will receive upon the completion of the Three Degrees.
After that there is just a yearly dues of $82 that is due in November of every year.
If you are still reading at this point and would like the meet the fine group of men that make up our unique Lodge. We would like to welcome you to meet and have dinner with us on the first Tuesday of every month. The doors are usually opened no later than 6pm and dinner is served at 6:30. Your friends and family are more than welcome to join as well. That way everyone is able to ask any question they may have. The last thing we would ever want to do is have a man join and then he be in the dog house with his spouse because they didn't approve. In this organization family comes first and fraternity second. Our next open dinner is October 4th 2016
What are the Requirement to Become a Freemason?
In the State of Ohio there a certain qualifications that one must meet in order to become a Freemason.
1. Be at least 19 years of age.
2. Be able read and write the English Language.
3. Beliefe in something Greater than yourself
4. Have a Desire to become a better Man for you your family, community, and yourself
